Black Blackens Reds Record

There was some scuttlebutt going around before this game. The gist of it was Red was set to dominate Black. Looking at Red’s roster one could see plenty of talent. Kevin Cope, the assistant captain of the Red team alone was a big threat.

This game showed the best and the worst of the Black team. At the worst of times one will find the Defense playing offense and offense down below the circles ‘helping’ out. Somebody should bring a video camera to the next EPIC game (the lighting is better). There would be some great and telling footage. Overall their talent lies in their strong skating, stick handling and passing skills. They pass the puck up creating momentum over the blue line into their opponents zone. Contrast that to teams where one player guns it and leaves his teammates standing flat footed on the blue line. No re-bounders, no fore-check. Your Jr. Eagles Bantam Black team flat-out get to loose pucks and control the bounces better than most teams. Witness this games scoring by lines. Each line scored at least two goals.
