Bantam Black Miss Zac - Tie with Red

We really missed the Alexander boys, as well as a few others. We only had 10 skaters and 1 goalie, so there was lots of ice time again for those who played. Unfortunately the first goal of the game was a freebie for Red as Black was skating the puck deep their own zone when it came off the stick and went into the net. There were no penalties for both teams until the 3rd period. Black was down 3-1 at the end of the 2nd, but came back in the 3rd with 3 unanswered short-handed goals (possibly one was 4v4 but they don’t track it and I can’t remember). Black was up 4-3 with about 3 minutes left when they took 2 penalties and was down 2 skaters. Red scored the power play goal to tie. Black had several chances throughout the game and came close on several shots at the end, but the puck wouldn’t find the net. Although outnumbered, Black made 26 shots to Red’s 20.
