Red Ruins Blacks Reputation :: Final Score 2-3

Yes, we are all reeling from the loss to Red, a team we trounced earlier in the season. Sure, the team had their chances and it was just a one goal game. Another case of woulda coulda shoulda. By the way, what was with all those penalties? Were the refs paid off by Red?! Ten minutes of penalties or just about an entire period. Must be that new coach. Trying to make our sweet boys into a bunch of thugs eh?

Nick Moorman on the Injured Reserve
Nick is reported to have some blood chemistry problems that required a transfusion. Coach Brian explains that Nick most likely will not return. This is a blow to the team as Nick was able to contribute in scoring and assists while managing to stay out of the penalty box. He will be missed and our thoughts and prayers will be with him.

Ryan Escapes with a Bruise
Ryan Nafziger had to be carried off the ice and out of the building after the game. What looked like a broken leg or torn medial collateral ligament turned out to be a bad bruise. Ryan took time off from practice to recover and hopes to be available come tournament time.

Tournament Looms Large
First Game Epic Blue Fri. 9:30pm
Bantam Black gets the late game. Perhaps the team needs a volunteer to arrive early to pay off the refs? If this tournament is like those in the past seasons then expect the players to have a hoot of a time and lots of hockey. Parents and fans should remember to stop by the hospitality table for free snacks and beverages. This year Pat Gembarowski splurged on the Snickers brand energy bars. Mmmmmmm!
